Baka (馬鹿) is the word that is used as our Idiot or fool. It is the most common insult in Japanese. In modern writing it is transcribed in two ways in Katakana (バ カ) or Hirangana (ば か) as we have decided to use it. The translation of the kanji that form it is 馬鹿 (literally "deer horse"). The hiragama has the peculiarity of being the first silvario that the Japanese learn. Its creation is attributed to women, in fact (女 手) is translated as onnade, (woman's hand) for centuries it remained immutable and inflexible (until the Edo era).
The first time a man used this type of writing was in the Diary of Tosa by Ki No Tsurayuki, who posed as a woman, since his book talked about the loss of his daughter and was frowned upon.

Baka (あ ほ か) is the most common Japanese insult, its meaning depends on the context in which it is used and does not have a very strong connotation, but depends on the situation and the person who says it. Sometimes it doesn't even have a negative meaning, but rather a loving meaning.
