When the planet originating from the Thundercats explodes all the feline humanoids that inhabit it, they undertake a space migration. The Thunderians suffer the attack of the mutants of the planet Plun-Darr that kill virtually the entire fleet.
The command ship is not destroyed because it contains the Sword of the Augury and the eye of Thundera, finally the last ship manages to repel the attack and land on a nearby site. Unfortunately the mutants keep track of them and unite with the evil sorcerer Mumm-Ra to take over the Sword of the Augury.
