A curiosity: The names and design of the film danced in the first months of filming. The original title of the film was to be Star Beast and the name of the ship was Snark and not Nostromo. In the original design of the Alien, straight out of the mind of the great H.R. Giger, the beast had eyes on its head, although they were later removed to give a more terrifying appearance.
