GEORGE A ROMERO TEE

George A Romero is the creator of the classic Zombie archetype. Of Spanish and Lithuanian origin nation in 1940 in the USA, he grew up in the Bronx and lived a large part of his life. Unfortunately, he died in Toronto in 2017. We owe Romero the greatest classic of the genre The Night of the Walking Dead, which is also the seed of all current products.

Description

In the late 1960s John Russo, Russell Streiner, Karl Hardman, Marilyn Eastman and George A Romero himself founded the Image Ten production company with the aim of financing The Night of the Walking Dead. The film was filmed entirely in 8mm in black and white and premiered in 1968. Curiously, the word Zombie does not appear at any time in the footage. The film was re-released for 10 years and raised 12 million dollars in the USA and 30 in the rest of the world. It is considered one of the best 25 horror movies of all time. Today the movie is in the public domain.
